fonts-noto-hinted software package provides No Tofu font families with large Unicode coverage (hinted), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fonts-noto-hinted
fonts-noto-hinted is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fonts-noto-hinted package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fonts-noto-hinted *
You will get with fonts-noto-hinted package name, version, architecture and description in a table
